Remembering!

In this busy world with so many things going on, I am glad to have a moment to sit quietly and think about the magnitude of the events of 9/11. I remember standing in the hospital room of a parishioner awaiting surgury as we saw the first plane hit the tower...and it all began. The echoes of that morning can still be heard in the quiet of a Tuesday morning in a Radford, Virginia coffee shop. And so have you forgotten that day? I think about that day....and I am so grateful to God for a hope that is greater than this world. In our move to Northern Virginia in a couple of weeks, I am sure I will bump into those who were in or near the Pentagon that day. I pray for the strength to allow God to transform the pain of those memories into joy and the hope of a better tomorrow. Peace to you all today. K+
